Ready to connectTurn the scanner off. Connect USB—or leave it connected—then press Refresh.

Connect the scanner in this order

  1. Turn the scanner completely off. If USB is already connected, leave it connected and turn the scanner off.
  2. Connect a USB data cable. The cable supplied with the scanner is charge-only and cannot be used for this update.
  3. Wait two seconds, press Refresh, then select the CP210x serial port.

If the port is missing, confirm the scanner is off and press Refresh again. Reconnect USB only if needed.

Windows will ask you to select a serial port. Choose Silicon Labs CP210x USB to UART Bridge (COM…). This is the scanner's expected USB interface. If it is missing, install the official CP210x Universal Windows driver.
