Scanner flash diagnostics

When you press Flash scanner, the flasher records technical output needed to diagnose failed updates. This includes update phases, USB and bootloader messages, progress, verification results, browser family, operating-system family, and errors.

A random operator code is stored locally in this browser so repeated attempts can be recognized. It is not your name, account, IP address, or a browser fingerprint. Clearing this site's browser data—or using Reset operator code on the advanced page—creates a new code.

Diagnostic logs, the operator code, and scanner identifiers are encrypted in storage. Raw scanner MAC addresses are removed from log text. Access is password protected, detailed logs are retained for 90 days, and diagnostic recording never controls whether the scanner update succeeds.
